For only his first year of motorcross racing, Trevor Croswell is finishing first on an above-average basis.
The Emo resident captured top spot in the MX3 Beginner division during the fourth stop in this year’s Superior Dirt Riders Northern Ontario season Saturday in Kakabeka Falls.
Croswell also nabbed sixth place in the Vet 40-Plus group, one spot behind John Gavel of Stratton, who added a second fifth-place finish in the MX3 Open class.
Croswell’s son, Brandon, nearly matched his dad’s performance–taking second place in the 85cc age 12-16 division while also notching a fourth-place finish in the Super Mini competition.
Meanwhile, Dylan Tessier of Devlin also got a front-row look at a checkered flag when he won the 85cc age seven-11 category.
He also placed sixth in the Super Mini group.
Emo’s Cole Kreger was sixth in the Schoolboy division while his brother, Alex, was eighth in the 85cc age seven-11 class.
Landon Flinders of Fort Frances finished 10th in the 65cc PeeWee age seven-11 division–one place ahead of fellow Fort driver Dawson Pollard.
Updated points standings were unavailable as of press time.
The circuit next heads to Atikokan on July 29 for its second-last race of the season.
