Pair of field athletes fall short at OFSAA


The two Muskie field athletes struggled at the OFSAA championships in London over the weekend.
In terms of exceeding expectations, Josh Strain put together the best Fort High performance of the competition, tying for eighth in the senior boys’ high jump.
He completing the 1.83m jump before bowing out at the 1.88m level.
Strain’s seed jump was 1.80 metres.
He finished slightly below his qualifying mark in the triple jump, recording a score of 13.10m to place 16th.
His seed measurement was 13.24m.
Garnet Paxson, meanwhile, also was unable to surpass his qualifying mark in the senior boys’ shot put.
His best throw in London was 11.53m—short of his qualifying throw of 12.07 metres.
