Oak Park Raiders shut out Muskies

The Muskie ‘A’ football team took it on the chin Friday, losing 37-0 to the Oak Park Raiders, the defending Winnipeg High School Football League champions.
The Raiders jumped on the scoreboard late in the first quarter after running back a pair of interceptions for touchdowns. They added 20 points in the third quarter, including a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown, to seal the win.
Running back Jock Gemmell led the Muskies way with 71 yards on 14 carries. Wide receiver Adam McTavish was held to just 29 yards on two receptions.
The Muskies (1-1) will be back in Winnipeg this Friday to face Grant Park at 4 p.m.
