Nestor Falls cracks Top 10

Nestor Falls has advanced to the final round of voting for the World Fishing Network’s “Ultimate Fishing Town” contest.
The town finished third in Canada, and sat in a similar position at press time yesterday afternoon, shortly after voting kicked off.
Voting will continue until Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. local time at http://www.wfn.tv/ultimate-fishing-town/
Voters can cast a ballot once every 12 hours per valid email address.
The winning town will receive a $25,000 community donation, and the World Fishing Network will also produce a 30-minute program focusing on the winning community.
The other nine finalists include: Chilliwack, B.C., Port Alberni, B.C., Nipawin, Sask., Dauphin, Man., Thunder Bay, Port Rowan, Ont., Seeleys Bay, Ont., Miramichi, N.B. and O’Leary, P.E.I.
Port Alberni and Dauphin were the only two towns to exceed Nestor Falls’ total of more than 10,000 votes.
Overall, more than 220,000 votes were cast for the 160 nominated communities.
