The Devlin native, playing second for Northern Ontario under Thunder Bay skip Ron Rosengren, already knew after last night that her team had first place locked up at the 2015 Canadian Postal Employees Curling Classic in Winnipeg.
Northern Ontario had beaten Alberta 6-3 and then dumped P.E.I. 8-3 in six ends on Tuesday.
Then they doubled Ontario 8-4 in their lone game yesterday to sit undefeated at 9-0.
Northern Ontario closed out round-robin play this morning against Quebec.
Regardless of that outcome, the rink will participate in today’s 1 vs. 2 Page playoff game against an opponent still to be determined as of press time.
The winner will advance straight to tomorrow’s final at 1 p.m.
The loser will drop down to tomorrow morning’s semi-final against the winner of the 3 vs. 4 game that goes later today.
Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia were tied for second at 7-2 entering play today while Alberta was fourth at 6-3.
Ontario (6-4) can get into a tie-breaker if Alberta lost to P.E.I. in its final round-robin game this morning.
