The Muskie senior boys’ basketball team remained perfect in NorWOSSA play so far this season after hanging on for a 44-43 win against the host Kenora Broncos yesterday.
Fort High (4-0) came in as the clear favourite but was given a fierce battle by the winless Broncos (0-3).

The Muskie junior girls’ volleyball team also improved its NorWOSSA record to 4-0 with a 3-0 sweep of Kenora (0-3).

And in senior girls’ volleyball action, Fort High (2-2) rebounded from a home loss Tuesday to the Dryden Eagles by sweeping the Broncos (0-3) by scores of 25-10, 25-14, and 25-15.
But the beat went on for the Muskie junior boys’ basketball squad as it fell to 0-4 with a tough 41-34 overtime loss to Kenora (1-2).

Both Muskie basketball teams are in Thunder Bay this weekend for tournament play.
The volleyball crews, meanwhile, return to Kenora today for tournaments.
All four squads resume NorWOSSA action here next Thursday (Jan. 15) against the Broncos, with action getting underway at noon.
