The Muskie junior boys’ basketball team couldn’t have kicked off their season any better.
The black-and-gold went 4-0 to capture their home tournament over the weekend at Fort High.
On Friday, a game-high 15 points from Brandon Sinclair helped the Muskies dump the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints (Kenora) 43-22, then Gavin Moorhouse netted 19 as Fort High clipped the Dryden Eagles 54-40.
The Muskies kicked off play Saturday by taming the Sir Winston Churchill Trojans (Thunder Bay) 30-26, with Jacob Hawley leading the attack with 11 points.
Hawley’s 15 points also led the charge in the tournament clincher—a 46-36 victory over the Kenora Broncos.
The Muskies will kick off the NorWOSSA campaign this Monday (Dec. 14) in Dryden.
