The Muskie boys’ soccer team came away with the ‘B’ title at the St. John’s Ravenscourt tournament in Winnipeg over the weekend.
They black-and-gold opened play Friday evening with a 2-0 loss to Miles Mac, but rebounded with a 1-0 win over Glenlawn Collegiate on Saturday, which gave them second place in their pool.
Then in the semi-finals, they won a close 2-1 match over Fort Richmond Collegiate to earn a berth in the ‘B’ final against the JHS Bruns.
The Muskies found themselves down 1-0 entering the second half, but scored four unanswered goals over the next 25 minutes to cruise to the 4-1 victory.
Both Muskie soccer teams next will host tournaments this Friday and Saturday at the St. Francis Sportsfields.
