Muskies to face Broncos tonight

The Muskie boys’ hockey team will be crossing the border tonight for an exhibition showdown against the International Falls Broncos.
The puck drops at 7 p.m. at Bronco Arena.
The last time these two teams faced each other was here back in late November, which the Muskies won 3-0.
The black-and-gold are coming off a 10-3 victory over the Chisholm Bluestreaks there on Tuesday night.
Andrew Easton led the way with a hat trick while Brock Benjamin scored twice. Lucas Romaniuk, Tyler Romyn, Tyler Miller, Brett Perreault, and Josh Sigurdson added singles.
Drawing assists were Jake Esselink (two), Romaniuk (two), Miller (two), Benjamin (two), Mitch Green, David Pierce, Matt Redford, and Easton.
In related news, the Fort Frances Canadians Midget ‘AA’ team also will be in action today as they take on the International Falls’ junior varsity team at 5 p.m. at Bronco Arena.
The Canadians are coming off a disappointing 5-3 loss to the Baudette Bears’ junior varsity team here Tuesday night after leading 3-0 going into the third period.
Matt Beck put the Canadians on the board first late in the first period, assisted by Justin Scott and Brian Glavish.
They added to their lead in the second as Paul Dobransky (George Ossachuk/Curtis Logue) and Glavish (Beck) hit the twine.
But the Canadians couldn’t suppress the Bears’ attack, who scored five times in the 17-minute third period to pull out the victory.
