Muskies take third in Morden

The Muskie boys’ hockey team came third out of 11 teams competing in a tournament at Morden, Man. over the weekend.
The black-and-gold edged the W.C. Miller Aces 4-3 in overtime in their first game Friday, then nipped the Garden Valley Zodiaks by that same score later that day.
The Muskies suffered their only loss of the tournament with a 5-4 defeat to the Carman Cougars on Saturday, but then dominated the third-place game against the host Mohawks by a 6-0 score.
The squad returns to action here tomorrow night for an exhibition game against the International Falls Broncos. The puck is set to drop at 7:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Muskie girls’ hockey team is in Baudette tonight for an exhibition showdown with the Bears.
