The Muskie boys’ hockey team opened its NorWOSSA season with a two-game sweep over the visiting Red Lake Rams on Friday night and Saturday afternoon.
Mitch Green and Taylor Jorgenson each had a hat trick to lead Fort High to a 10-5 win in the first game.
George Halverson helped the cause with a pair of goals while Zach McCool and Kyle Turgeon each had one.
Rich Wieringa earned the win between the pipes.
Then on Saturday, David Moen played well in goal to lead the Muskies to a narrow 2-1 win.
Jorgenson opened the scoring on a power play in the first period while Riley Caul netted the insurance marker in the second.
The Rams scored their goal late in the third period.
