Talk about a day of Muskie dominance.
All four court sports teams came away victorious against the visiting Kenora Broncos on Thursday afternoon at Fort High.
The senior boys’ volleyball squad nabbed its first win of the season to improve to 1-3 in NorWOSSA play.
They downed the visitors in a hard-fought, five-set battle–coming out on top by scores of 25-19, 16-25, 21-25, 25-17, and 19-17.
The juniors (3-1) also picked up an impressive win, downing the Broncos in straight sets (27-7, 25-22, and 25-16).
In girls’ basketball action, meanwhile, the juniors improved to 3-1 with a 56-28 rout of Kenora.
Keisha Debungie scored a team-high 13 points while Justine Linklater and Tatum Glowasky each netted 10.
Lauren Penney chipped in with six points while Joanna Empey added four.
The senior squad also improved to 3-1 in league play with their own 63-29 rout of the Broncos.
Ellie Petsnick led the way offensively with a 22-point performance while Jamie Spencer added 16.
Grace Petsnick chipped in with nine points and Taylor Steinke netted six.
Both the junior and senior girls’ hoopsters next will be in action this Friday and Saturday when they host their home tournament.
The senior spikers, meanwhile, will see action again at a tournament in Dryden those same days.
All four teams will resume NorWOSSA action Oct. 16 when they host the Eagles.
