Muskies start hockey season on a high note

The Fort Frances High School Muskies are off to a high-flying start to the regular season. Both girls’ and boys’ teams won their games versus Beaver Brae Broncos yesterday in Kenora. The girls won 10-1 and the boys took an 8-1 decision.


On the girls side Kianna Antonick led the way with two goals while the rest of the scoring was spread across the team.


For the boys, Grayson Burnell had a good game coming away with a hat trick and Noah McPherson added two more goals.

The Muskies will play exhibition games against the Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints this Sunday at Ice For Kids Arena. Girls games are at 11:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m and Boys will play at 1:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. They will open the home portion of the regular season on December third at the Memorial Sports Centre, the girls will begin at 6:30 p.m. in ‘52 Canadians arena and will host a teddy bear toss during their game, the boys will play on Ice For Kids rink at 6:45 p.m.
