Muskies ranked third in pool

The Muskies almost thought they were already going to be en route to North Bay before finding out who they will play there.
OFSAA finally released the official schedule yesterday for the ‘AA’ boys’ soccer championship that begins Thursday.
Fort High, fresh off its seventh-straight NorWOSSA title, is ranked third out of five teams in Group ‘C.’
The squad will begin play against second-ranked King’s Christian Cavaliers (Oakville) on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. (all times CDT).
The Muskies’ second game of the day will occur at 2 p.m. against the fourth-seeded St. David Celtics (Waterloo).
If the seedings are to be believed, Fort High’s toughest test in pool play will come Friday at 10 a.m. against the top-ranked Bishop Marrocco/Thomas Merton Royals (Toronto).
The Muskies then close out pool play against the fifth-ranked Holy Cross Raiders (St. Catharines).
Also back in the field are the Corpus Christi Longhorns, who won the OFSAA crown last year and are the top seed in Group ‘A.’
The top two teams in each pool advance to the cross-over quarter-finals Friday at 5:45 p.m.
The semi-finals are slated for Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
The bronze-medal game then goes at 2 p.m., followed by the gold-medal game at 3 p.m.
