The Muskie senior boys’ basketball team now know what they’ll be up against at the OFSAA ‘AA’ championships in St. Catharines next week.
The black-and-gold—ranked as the 18th and final seed for the tournament—will face third-ranked and host St. Francis Phoenix in their first-round contest Monday at 11:30 p.m. (CST).
If the Muskies are victorious, they’ll advance against the loser of the Timmins Blues and Perth Blue Devils in second round Tuesday morning.
Should the NWOSSAA champs fall to St. Francis, however, they’ll have to hit the court again Monday night against the loser of an opening-round match between the Smiths Falls Redhawks and Bishop F. Marrocco Royals (Toronto).
Tournament play runs until Wednesday, with the final taking place that night.
