It was a suspenseful and successful Saturday for the Muskie boys’ hockey team.
Chase McGuire scored in overtime to give Fort High a 2-1 win over the Kittson Bearcats (Hallock, Mn.) in an exhibition game at “The Duke” (Couchiching Arena).
Eric Pitkanen had given the Muskies a 1-0 lead before the Bearcats tied it in the third–setting the stage for McGuire’s overtime heroics.
Spencer Murphy got the win in goal.
The Muskies next host the International Falls Broncos in the back half of their two-game exhibition clash tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena.
Fort High edged the Broncos 1-0 back on Dec. 23 at Bronco Arena.
