It was a tough outing for three of the four Muskie court teams in NorWOSSA action Thursday afternoon in Dryden.
Only the junior girls’ basketball squad managed to come home victorious after dumping the Eagles 46-26 to improve their league record to 6-1.
Tatum Glowasky and Keisha DeBungie each scored 11 points to lead the black-and-gold while Justine Linklater added seven.
Aurora Hutton had five points, with Lauren Penny and Becca Jourdain both netting three.
The senior hoopsters fell 58-54 by Dryden to see their league record fall to 4-3.
Janissa Judson scored a team-high 14 points, including a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point range.
Grace Petsnick chipped in 12 points while Jamie Spencer added 10.
Sarah Larson and Ellie Petsnick each netted seven points.
In boy’s volleyball action, meanwhile, the junior Muskies saw their league record fall to 4-3 with a 3-1 loss to Dryden.
After dropping the first set 21-25, Fort High fought back to take the second one 25-20.
But the Eagles flexed their muscles and took the next two sets by scores of 11-25 and 23-25 to pull out the victory.
The senior Muskies lost in straight-sets (21-25, 14-25, and 24-26) to see their league record fall to 2-5.
All four teams will wrap up their regular-season schedule tomorrow when the Kenora Broncos come to town.
Fort High then will host the NorWOSSA playoffs the following Tuesday (Nov. 6).
