Muskies hosting soccer finals

Staff

The boys’ and girls’ NorWOSSA soccer finals will hit the pitch here tomorrow at the St. Francis Sportsfields.
The Muskie boys will put their season on the line at 9:30 a.m. when they host the Dryden Eagles in the semi-final.
A win would mean advancing to meet the top-seeded Kenora Broncos in the league final at 1:30 p.m., with a berth at the all-Ontarios up for grabs.
The Muskie girls’ squad, meanwhile, will await the winner of the Kenora-Dryden semi-final, which goes at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow.
The final is set for 3:30 p.m.
In the event of a tie, two 10-minute overtime halves will be played in their entirety with goals being cumulative.
If a tie remains, a penalty-kick format of five players a side will decide the winner.
The girls’ OFSAA tournament will be held in Kenora this year (June 4-6), so the host Broncos have an automatic bye.
The boys’ championship goes June 4-6 in Hamilton.
