Another year, another NorWOSSA title, and another difficult end to the season.
The story remained the same for the Muskie boys’ soccer team, which went to the OFSAA ‘AA’ championship in North Bay as seven-time league champs but came away with not much to show for it for the second-straight year.
Fort High, ranked third in Group ‘C,’ finished last out of the five teams with an 0-4 record–wrapping up play Friday afternoon with a 7-0 loss to the fifth-ranked Holy Cross Raiders (St. Catharines).
The Muskies were unable to even match the one goal they scored last year, getting blanked in all four games while giving up 16 goals in all.
“I think overall this week, we played one really good game,” said co-coach Chris Sinclair.
“The other three were very similar in the sense of slow starts.
“Once they scored, we got down on ourselves and got away from playing how we can,” he noted.
