Muskies falls in Kenora

The first NorWOSSA regular-season meetings for the Muskie boys’ and girls’ hockey teams against the Kenora Broncos most likely will go down as games they’d like to forget.
The boys roared back from 4-1 deficit to force a shootout, but after seven rounds it was the home side that came away with a 5-4 victory Tuesday night.
Chris Bobczynski, Braden Webb, Tarran Romyn, and Hunter Leishman scored for the Muskies, who dropped to 1-1 in NorWOSSA play.
The Muskie girls, meanwhile, ended up losing 3-2 to the host Broncos on Tuesday in a back-and-forth affair.
Taylor Dixon and Shae-Lynn Smith scored for the black-and-gold, who fell to 1-2 in league play.
Both teams won’t have to wait long for a chance at revenge, though, with the boys hosting Kenora in their NorWOSSA home-opener this Tuesday (Nov. 22) at 7:15 p.m. at the Ice for Kids Arena.
The girls will take on the Broncos next Friday (Nov. 25) at 7 p.m. at the ’52 Canadians Arena.
Prior to their game against Kenora, the Muskie boys are in Morden, Man. this weekend for a tournament.
