Muskie girls’ singles competitor Simone Desjardins, along with the mixed doubles duo of Natalie Desjardins and Jason Pattison, both have dropped down to the ‘B’ event at last report from the all-Ontario badminton championship in Ajax.
Simone Desjardin won her first two matches yesterday, beating R. Brown (SWOSSAA) 15-11 and 15-4 and then K. Green (YRAA) 15-9 and 15-7.
But she lost her third match to V. Tam (NCSSAA) by scores of 15-3 and 15-4.
She was awaiting the winner of the match between A. Durdan (SOSSA) and J. Yang (GHAC).
Meanwhile, Desjardins and Pattison won their opening match yesterday against K. Atwood/A. McClure (GBSSA) 15-13 and 15-6, but then fell to H. Dugan/L. Parkes (WOSSAA) by identical 15-3 scores.
They were playing against S. Trinh/J. Trinh (ROPSSAA) at last report this morning (the outcome was not known by press time).
