Muskies top Broncos in Friday’s Homecoming match
The Fort Frances Muskies won the annual Homecoming game 22 – 6 against Kenora on Friday afternoon.
The win secures home field advantage for the Muskies in the Semi-final match, scheduled against Kenora on October 29.
The winner of that match will take on the Eagles in Dryden for the championship.
According to coach Scott Fawcett, the Muskies started quickly when first year running back Ben Huziak scored on a 42-yard run.
“The Muskies extended their lead to 12-0 in the first half on a 60-yard touchdown run by senior running back Darius Brenna. The Muskies added a single point on a missed field goal attempt by Hayden Beckett to lead 13 – 0 at halftime,” said Fawcett.

“Senior quarterback Gabe Hyatt left the game with an injury in the 4th quarter. First year sophomore quarterback Parker Booth capped off a long Muskie drive scoring from 1 yard out to give the Muskies a 19 – 0 lead. The Muskies other points came when Kenora conceded a punt single and a safety,” said Fawcett.
Spectators are welcome for the October 29 semi-final game.
