There’s nothing like a good old-fashioned rivalry to stoke the hockey fires.
The Muskies boys’ hockey team heads across the river tonight for the first of two annual exhibition games with the International Falls Broncos.
The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
Motivation shouldn’t be a concern for the Muskies, who were beaten handily by the Broncos in both of their meetings last season.
The black-and-gold also is coming off a third-place finish at an invitational tournament in Morden, Man. over the weekend, where they posted a 2-1-1 mark.
The Broncos will be a formidable foe, though, as their lineup includes the trio of Drew Fisher, Tyler Krzoska, and Ryan Kramer, who were effective in their two-month stint with the SIJHL’s Borderland Thunder earlier this fall.
The rematch between the Muskies and Broncos is slated Dec. 13 at the ’52 Canadians Arena here.
