Muskies both win twice

Everything is going according to plan.
Both the Muskie girls’ and boys’ soccer teams began defence of their respective NorWOSSA titles yesterday by earning a pair of shutout wins at the league showdown in Kenora.
The girls slipped past the Dryden Eagles 1-0, then put the boots to the Kenora Broncos by a 3-0 score.
Meanwhile, the boys blanked the Eagles 2-0 before earning a 1-0 victory against the Broncos in a game that went down to penalty kicks.
Goal scorers were not available at press time.
Both teams played semi-final matches this morning against the second-place team from the ‘A’ level (results weren’t known as of press time). If they won, they would advance to their respective league finals at 2 p.m.
If the Muskies bring home Nor- WOSSA gold, they will advance to the NWOSSAA playoffs slated May 31, with Fort Frances scheduled to host the boys’ playoffs if victorious while the girls would travel to Thunder Bay.
