Muskies both triumph

The Muskie girls’ hockey team kept their undefeated home record intact with a 4-0 shutout over the Kenora Broncos here Tuesday night.
Katie Stearns recorded the second Muskie shutout in a week after Sara Trendiak held the Lake of the Woods Bears to a goose egg in an exhibition showdown last Thursday in Emo.
Lauren Krukoski netted a pair of goals against Kenora, with Kristen Penner and Nina Bird adding singles.
The win raised Fort High’s NorWOSSA record to 4-1 while Kenora fell to 2-3 in league play.
The team next will host the Babbitt-Embarrass Knights in exhibition action tomorrow (Friday) at 7:15 p.m. at the Ice for Kids Arena.
Saturday’s game—originally scheduled as a home date—instead will see the Muskies hit the road for a game in Eveleth, Mn.
In boys’ action Tuesday night, the Muskies earned a 2-1 win over the host Dryden Eagles.
