The three Muskie curling rinks headed to Kenora last week to take part in the NorWOSSA qualifier—and all three successfully booked their tickets to the NorWOSSA playoffs in Sioux Lookout on Feb. 28-March 1.
Leading the charge was the girls’ rink, including skip Tirzah Keffer, third Samantha Mueller, second Taylor Hartlin, and lead Carley Busch, which finished the round-robin with an unbeaten record.
For the first time in a number of years, Fort High had enough members to field a mixed team for the event.
That foursome, featuring skip Luke Esselink, third Karleigh Wright, second Ben Tysz, and lead Megan Patterson, sported a 4-1 mark during the round-robin to finish in second place.
Meanwhile, the boys’ rink, made up of skip Isaac Keffer, third Cody Heyens, second Ian Grant, and lead Jordan Sokoliuk, also finished second in the round-robin with a 4-1 record.
