Muskie rinks advance to NWOSSAA

Both the boys’ and girls’ Muskie curling rinks are off to the NWOSSAA playdowns March 1-2 in Thunder Bay after their gold-medal performance in Kenora on Sunday and Monday.
The girls’ rink, including Amy Nielsen, Jenna Enge, Kate Bondett, and Courtney Beadle, dominated the field, outscoring their opponents 57-5 en route to a 5-0 record in the round-robin.
Meanwhile, the boys’ rink—comprised of Adam Bolen, Jason Pattison, David Kaun, and Joey Wensley—will look to defend their NWOSSAA title next week and secure another berth at the all-Ontarios.
The boys finished the round-robin tied for first with Red Lake at 4-1, but took the gold by virtue of their 7-4 win over the Rams in their head-to-head showdown.
