The Muskie boys’ curling rink began its quest for OFSAA gold with mixed results.
After opening with a 5-4 win over Ridgetown yesterday, the black-and-gold fell to 1-1 thanks to a 5-3 loss to Sir Winston Churchill this morning at the Port Arthur Curling Club in Thunder Bay.
The squad, consisting of skip Isaac Keffer, third Cody Heyens, second Ian Grant, lead Jordan Sokoliuk, and fifth Luke Esselink, was back in action this afternoon against London Central at the Port Arthur Curling Club.
Then they’ll wrap up Pool ‘A’ play tomorrow morning against Malvern Collegiate Institute (Toronto) at the Fort William Curling Club.
The top two teams from each pool advance to the quarter-finals, which get underway tomorrow afternoon at the Port Arthur Curling Club.
