In NorWOSSA action yesterday afternoon, the senior girls’ basketball team (6-1) stifled the Broncos 47-14.
Erika Moffitt scored 12 points, Chantal Jodoin had 11 and Chelsea Hill had 10 to pace the Muskie offence.
Meanwhile, the junior girls beat the Broncos 20-12 to improve to 3-4 this season.
Coach Dan Bird was pleased with the way the black-and-gold limited their unforced errors en route to a 16-2 lead at the half.
Bird raved about the play of his starters, four of whom (Alyssa Windego, Sara Bagacki, Courtney Spade and Keira Lindgren) are in Grade 9, with Wynnona Kavanaugh as the only veteran.
He noted that the team played fine defence and kept the Broncos’ perimeter shooting limited.
