Muskie girls thump Warriors

Staff

Talk about heading into the holiday break on a high note.
The Muskie girls’ hockey team was firing on all cylinders as they rolled to a 6-0 rout of the host Sioux Lookout Warriors on Tuesday afternoon.
Fort High saw its league record improve to 4-1 with the decisive win and now just sit three points back of the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints of Kenora (5-0-0-1) for first place in the NorWOSSA standings.
Raelle Redford, Tatum Glowasky, Abbie Kenny, Paiten Kinnear, Hailey Bombay, and captain Jill Calder all lit the lamp for the Muskies in Tuesday’s win.
The Muskies won’t see action again until the new year when they head to Thunder Bay for the annual Loop Weekend tournament on Jan. 3-5.
Their next NorWOSSA game is slated for Tuesday, Jan. 14 when they host the Kenora Broncos.
