The Muskie girls’ curling team faced down more than the other teams on the ice Sunday and Monday at the Fort Frances Curling Club.
The ’flu also stared down the squad, which is skipped by Tirzah Keffer.
Lead Taylor Hartlin was sidelined for the exhibition tournament because of the illness while Keffer missed two of the five games.
Still, the beleaguered crew charged ahead—posting a sparkling 5-0 record in games that all were decided in the final end.
Third Samantha Mueller skipped twice in Keffer’s absence while second Carley Busch and fifth player Karleigh Wright also held strong.
On the boys’ side, Fort High’s entry, skipped by Ethan Jordbro, finished with a 1-3-1 mark.
Queen Elizabeth (Sioux Lookout) finished atop the boys’ draw with a 4-1 record.
