That would be Muskie captain Shelby Tymkin, who notched a pair of goals in leading the black-and-gold to a 7-0 shutout of the host Detroit Lakes Lakers in an exhibition game Tuesday night.
But Tymkin had plenty of crewmates willing to force the Lakers to walk the plank in a game dominated by Fort High from the opening face-off.
Claire Sandelovich, Kailey Greengrass, Hailey Clendenning, Amber Jourdain, and Jessica Coran also scored for the Muskies, who have yet to lose in a dozen tournament and exhibition games this season (11 wins and one tie).
Calie Clendenning proved impenetrable between the pipes in earning the shutout.
The Muskies were accompanied by the Fort Frances Bantam Leafs girls’ team (14 and under), which whipped the Lakers’ junior varsity squad 10-0.
Fort High will open its NorWOSSA regular season against the Kenora Broncos tonight at 7:15 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena.
