It’s a must-win situation for the Muskie girls’ hockey team tonight in Red Lake.
The black-and-gold are in a single-elimination quarter-final game with the Rams, with the winner advancing to face the first-place Dryden Eagles in the best-of-three NorWOSSA semi-finals.
The teams originally were scheduled to square off Tuesday night, but the game was postponed due to the weather conditions.
In other Muskie news, the senior boys’ basketball team now knows who it will have to beat in order to advance to the all-Ontarios.
Fort High will host the Thunder Bay champion Winston Churchill Trojans this Friday and Saturday in a best-of-three series to determine this year’s NWOSSAA champs.
The Trojans captured the Thunder Bay title Tuesday night with a 56-45 triumph over the Hammarskjold Vikings.
Game 1 goes Friday at 1:45 p.m., with Game 2 set for Saturday at 10 a.m.
Game 3, if necessary, will take place Saturday at 4 p.m.
