It wasn’t their usual home rink but the outcome looked more than vaguely familiar.
The Muskie girls’ hockey team thrilled an appreciative crowd at the Emo-La Vallee Arena yesterday afternoon with a 13-0 drubbing of the Sioux Lookout Warriors in the first of a two-game series.
The finale was scheduled for this afternoon at the Ice For Kids Arena here, with the outcome unavailable as of press time.
Almost every skater for Fort High (3-0) got in on the offensive fun yesterday as 13 different players recorded at least one point.
Annalise Hayes, who had a game-high six points, was one of three Muskies with hat tricks.
The other two were captain Rachel Jean and Rylee Redford.
Emma Noga scored twice while Kelsey Langtry and Taylor Croswell added singles.
Sydney Beck, meanwhile, earned her first career NorWOSSA shutout.
The Muskies also extended their streak of not allowing a goal in league play to 127:21.
