Muskie girls blank Eagles again

The Dryden Eagles will be glad to get a little break from playing the Muskies.
Taylor Croswell scored twice to lead Fort High to a 3-0 victory Monday night in Dryden that improved their NorWOSSA record to 11-0-1.
The black-and-gold had blanked the Eagles 1-0 in the teams’ previous meeting back on Jan. 10 at “The Duke” (Couchiching Arena).
Croswell opened the scoring in the first period, with Jenna Clendenning and Annalise (C.C.) Hayes drawing the assists.
She then made it 2-0 later in the frame, with Hayes and Clendenning assisting again.
Hayes then capped the scoring when she finished off a feed from Alex Gartzke in the third period.
Kamryn Sandelovich earned her second-straight shutout between the pipes.
With the win, Fort High claimed the four-game regular-season series over Dryden (3-0-1).
The Muskies were scheduled to face the host Sioux Lookout Warriors yesterday, but that game was postponed due to inclement weather.
A make-up date will be announced later.
Fort High next will be in NorWOSSA action tomorrow when they host the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints (Kenora) at 7:15 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena.
Then they’ll lock horns against the host International Falls Broncos in an exhibition game this Saturday (Feb. 3) at 2 p.m.
