A miscommunication in game times caused the Kenora Broncos to arrive late here yesterday, forcing the senior girls’ basketball game to be cancelled because the Muskies had to leave for a tournament in Thunder Bay.
But the other three games went head (albeit three hours after their scheduled start time), with the visiting Broncos sweeping the black-and-gold.
The senior boys’ volleyball team lost in straight sets to Kenora (25-17, 25-21, and 25-10) to see their NorWOSSA record drop to 0-2.
The junior boys also fell to 0-2 on the season after losing a 3-1 decision in their best-of-five match. The scores were 16-25, 25-20, 22-25, and 21-25).
Finally, the junior girls’ basketball team was up, and then down, against the Broncos, losing the tightly-contested game by a 22-21 margin to also fall to 0-2 in NorWOSSA play.
The Muskies next face the Dryden Eagles here on Tuesday.
Junior girls’ basketball and senior boys’ volleyball will get things started at 3:30 p.m., followed by senior girls’ basketball and junior boys’ volleyball at 5 p.m.
