Muskie cheer team advances to provincials

The Muskie cheerleaders went to Thunder Bay on Sunday and won gold in the large (20+ members) all-girls’ competition against Dryden.
The squad scored a 365.5 in the event hosted at Lakehead University and now will move on to the 2004 Ontario Cheerleading Federation championships April 23-25 in Mississauga.
There, they will be competing against White Oaks (south region) and Cardinal Newman (central region).
The 23-member team had been practising five days a week before leaving for the competition, but took a break last Friday to spend the day in Dryden cheering on the Muskie court teams at the NorWOSSA playoffs.
