The Muskie boys’ hockey team continued its winning ways Saturday in Dryden, prevailing 3-1 in the final of a tournament hosted by the Eagles.
Having finished second in the round-robin with a 2-1 record, the final proved to be a lot tighter than a 7-2 romp by the Muskies over Dryden in their season-opening win here back on Nov. 13.
Full scoring details from the final were not available.
Meanwhile, the Muskie girls’ hockey team had a tough go in Buffalo, Mn. over the weekend, finishing 0-3 at a tournament there.
The black-and-gold opened play Friday with a 12-0 loss to the hosts, then fell 5-4 to Red Wing and 6-3 to Totino-Grace on Saturday.
Both Muskie teams will resume NorWOSSA action this week.
The boys will host the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints (Kenora) tomorrow at 7:15 p.m. while the girls will travel to Dryden on Friday.
