Muskie boys to face Kenora

The NorWOSSA boys’ hockey playoff pairings have been set, with the Muskies set to open their best-of-three semi-final series this Friday against the visiting Kenora Broncos.
Game time is set for 4 p.m. at the Ice for Kids Arena.
The second game will go on Sunday in Kenora, with Game 3 (if required) back here Tuesday night.
The Red Lake Rams claimed third place on the final weekend of the regular season, splitting a pair of games with the Dryden Eagles.
The Rams fell 4-1 in the first tilt but came back for a 6-4 win in the second one to leapfrog over Kenora.
The Rams and Eagles will square off in the other semi-final.
On the girls’ side, the first-place Muskies will take on either St. Thomas Aquinas or the Sioux Lookout Warriors in the best-of-three semi-finals starting here Friday.
The Saints and Warriors were playing for the ‘A’ division crown but the outcome was not known as of press time last night.
Friday’s opener is slated for 5 p.m. in the ’52 Canadians Arena. Game two likely would go Sunday on the road, with Game 3 (if necessary) back here on Tuesday night.
The second-place Kenora Broncos will host the Dryden Eagles tomorrow night in Game 1 of their semi-final series. Game 2 goes Sunday afternoon in Dryden, with a third game (if necessary) on Tuesday evening back in Kenora.
The semi-final winners will advance to the best-of-three NorWOSSA final beginning Friday, Feb. 29.
