Muskie boys third in Brandon

The Muskie boys’ hockey team came away from a Brandon, Man. tournament with a third-place finish following a shootout loss in the semi-finals.
The boys won their first three games, beating Major Pratt 3-2, Pembina High School 8-4, and Sanford Collegiate 8-2.
However, facing Westwood in the semi-finals, Fort High managed a 3-3 tie at the end of regulation, but then losing in a shootout to drop the game and a chance to square off in the final.
The Muskies won the bronze match, beating the Vincent Massey Trojans 5-2.
Forward Taylor Jorgenson, one of the Muskies’ scoring leaders, was named to the tournament all-star team.
