Rams were an endangered species over the weekend at the ’52 Canadians Arena.
The Muskie boys’ hockey team used the Red Lake Rams for target practice in a sweep of their two-game NorWOSSA series, with the hosts winning 7-1 on Friday and then 9-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Scoring summaries for the two games were not available as of press time.
The pair of wins moved the Muskies into first place in the NorWOSSA standings with a 5-1 record while the last-place Rams dropped to 0-5-0-1.
Fort High gets back to work tonight at 7:15 p.m. with a battle against the Dryden Eagles at the Ice For Kids Arena.
The Eagles (4-3) could move into a first-place tie with the black-and-gold if they can pull out the win, although the Muskies do hold a game in hand over Dryden.
In their only meeting of the season to date, Fort High blanked the Eagles 5-0 here back on Dec. 7.
