Fort High advanced to the provincial showdown after blanking the host Kenora Broncos 1-0 in the NorWOSSA final yesterday afternoon.
Colton Spicer notched the title-clinching goal, which gave the Muskies their first berth to the all-Ontarios since they went in 2009 to Hamilton.
Earlier in the day, the Muskies edged the Dryden Eagles 1-0 in the semi-final thanks to a goal by Brendan Cawston.
The OFSAA ‘AA’ championship runs June 2-4.
Meanwhile, the Muskie girls saw their season come to an end yesterday after they fell 2-1 to Dryden in the semi-final.
Jessica Caul found the back of the net for Fort High in the loss.
The NorWOSSA girls’ crown ended up going to the host Broncos, who beat the Eagles 2-1 on penalty kicks to capture their second-straight title and advance to OFSAA.
