Muskie boys lose nail-biter

The holiday season may have made the Muskie boys’ hockey team a little too accustomed to being kind hosts.
The black-and-gold fell 4-3 to the visiting International Falls Broncos in exhibition action Saturday.
Dustin Brown tallied the first Fort High goal, assisted by Devin Ball and Brendan Cawston.
Matt DePiero notched the second one, with Jeff Cridland and Nick Kaun drawing the assists.
David Chambers rounded out the Muskie attack, with Cawston picking up his second helper of the game.
Fort High begins a tournament in Duluth today.
In related news, the Muskie alumni squad doubled the Bronco alumni 10-5 in the first edition of the rivalry showdown later Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Muskie girls’ hockey team played its annual alumni game yesterday, with the current squad winning 8-4.
