The Muskie boys’ soccer squad will hit the road tonight as they make the long drive to Windsor for the 2011 OFSAA ‘AA’ championship starting Thursday.
The black-and-gold—playing in Group ‘C’—will open action against the fifth-ranked St. Paul Wolverines (Mississauga) at 10:30 a.m. (EST), then face the Kennedy Clippers (Windsor) at 3 p.m.
Fort High is back in action Friday at 11 a.m. against third-ranked St. Joseph’s Rams (St. Thomas) before rounding out their round-robin schedule versus Theriault (Timmins) at 2 p.m.
Only the top eight of the 20-team field are formally ranked.
The top two teams from each of the four pools after round-robin play will advance to the quarter-finals Friday at 5:15 p.m.
The playoff round will conclude Saturday, with the final scheduled for 2 p.m.
The St. Francis Phoenix (St. Catharines) are the top-ranked team.
