Muskie boys grab bronze

The Muskie boys’ hockey team dumped Miles Mac 11-2 to claim the bronze medal at a tournament in Winnipeg last week.
The black-and-gold had opened the tourney with a 5-2 win over Lord Selkirk and a 6-1 victory against St. John’s Ravenscourt.
But the Muskies then suffered their first loss, falling 7-5 to the Dauphin Clippers—the fourth-ranked team in Manitoba.
Fort High knocked off Oak Park, the top-ranked team in the province, by a 6-2 score in the quarter-finals, but then were blanked 6-0 by the Calgary Edge Mountaineers in the semi-finals.
That set the stage for their bronze-medal showdown against Miles Mac.
The Muskie boys return to NorWOSSA action tomorrow (Tuesday) when they host the Kenora Broncos at 7:30 p.m. at the ’52 Canadians Arena.
