The Muskie boys’ hockey team extended their most recent winning streak to four games with a decisive 8-4 victory over the Eveleth Golden Bears in exhibition action here Saturday.
After two tightly-contested periods, the black-and-gold took control with three unanswered goals in the third.
Assistant captain Mitch Green led the charge offensively, scoring his ninth and 10th goals of the season.
Ryan Witherspoon, Pat Bobczynski, Matt DePiero, Brian Glavish, Blake Wepruk and Taylor Jorgenson rounded out the scoring for the Muskies while Rich Wieringa earned the win in goal.
The Muskies are now off until this Friday (Jan. 26) when they begin a stretch of four games in five nights in Dryden against the Eagles.
The black-and-gold return home the following day to face Red Lake Falls in exhibition action at 2 p.m. at the Ice for Kids Arena.
The latest instalment of the International Falls-Fort Frances rivalry then takes place Monday (Jan. 29) when the Muskies cross the river to face the Broncos at 7:30 p.m.
The busy stretch wraps up next Tuesday (Jan. 30) with a game here versus the Dryden Eagles at 7:30 p.m.
