Registering your son or daughter for minor hockey just got easier.
The Fort Frances Minor Hockey Association has updated its registration process, allowing interested players to sign up online on the FFMHA’s website at www.fortfranceshockey.com
“FFMHA has worked with both Hockey Canada and Hockey Northwestern Ontario to be one of the first organizations in our area, if not the first, to provide this convenience,” said FFMHA registrar Kelly Jolicoeur.
“We also allow people to spread out their payments over the summer with a maximum of four post-dated cheques,” he noted.
Cheques need be mailed to the FFMHA, P.O. Box 306, Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 3M7 by Aug. 29, with all payments due by Sept. 10.
“I will have a credit card option available for next year’s registration, but currently we can only do it by cheques or money orders,” Jolicoeur noted.
“I also want people to know that if, for any reason, they are unable to register online, to contact me and I will assist them,” he added.
Jolicoeur can be reached at kellyjolicoeur@shaw.ca or by calling 274-1455.
Also available to parents is the “Kid Sport” financial assistance program, which helps underprivileged children and youths break through the barriers preventing or limiting their participation in organized sport.
