Local kindergarten teacher (RRDSB) Priscilla Miller finished second overall in the Running Room-sponsored Canada Day 5.16K in Winnipeg.
The race cap allows a maximum of 450 runners thus providing a deep field.
The slightly “long” 5K includes significant trail running.
Miller ran 21:56 which averages to 6:50 minute per mile pace.
Miller is not new to 5 K races locally winning famed “Freeze yer Gizzard Blizzard” run in International Falls January 2018 and 2019.
The 37-year-old Priscilla “spots” the competition to almost 20 years their senior yet is always the racer to beat. Well done, Priscilla.
