The local Midget hockey league announced their winners of the Esso Medals of Achievement awards for this past season.
Steve Fry was nominated as the league’s most dedicated player while Marc Foley was named the most gentlemanly player. Jason Flatt was honoured as the top goaltender while Pat Wensley was named rookie of the year.
The two-team league also announced individual team awards.
The OPP’s most improved player was Kevin Sieders while the most dedicated player was Barry Selin. John Yellowega was the team’s most sportsmanlike player.
The Legion’s most improved player was Justin DeGagne while John Zub was named most dedicated and Joe Sletmoen was the team’s most sportsmanlike player.
