The title game for the local men’s basketball league is now set following last night’s semi-final action at the Fort High gym.
The first game saw the third-seeded Muskies upend the second-ranked Taggs in a decisive 90-68 victory.
Justin Anderson led the black-and-gold with 30 points while Dustin Mowe had 17 points for Taggs.
Meanwhile, the other semi-final nearly saw a massive upset as the fourth-seeded Rendez-Vous, who won only once during the regular season, pushed top-ranked Boston Pizza to the limit.
In the end, though, the Vous was unable to score on a last-second three-pointer to fall 52-50 to the regular-season champs.
Jon Sivonen had 16 points to lead Boston Pizza, with Nate Berlin netting 17 in a losing cause.
The championship game between Boston Pizza and the Muskies will take place next Wednesday (April 6) at 8 p.m. at Fort High.
Taggs and the Vous will square off in the third-place game starting at 6:45 p.m.
